Terms of Service
By installing or using Song Pong, you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable, not lawyerly.
1. The app
Song Pong is provided "as is" by Apricity Sound (Chad Furrow). We work to keep it stable but make no warranty that recording, playback, sharing, or any other feature will be uninterrupted or error-free. Don't use Song Pong as the only copy of a recording you care about — export important takes.
2. Your content
You own everything you record in Song Pong. We claim no rights to your audio, lyrics, projects, or any other content. When you use Collaborate or Invite Friends to upload a tape bundle, you grant us a temporary license only to host and serve that bundle so the share link works. We do not redistribute, sample, or repurpose your content.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use Song Pong to record people without their knowledge or consent in jurisdictions that require it. That's on you.
- Don't upload content via Collaborate that infringes someone else's copyright, includes illegal material, or harasses others.
- Don't probe, scrape, or attempt to break our sharing servers. If you find a security issue, email chad@apricitysound.com — we'll work with you.
4. Beta / TestFlight builds
Builds delivered through Apple's TestFlight are pre-release software. They can crash, lose data, or stop working when a newer build supersedes them. Feedback is encouraged via chad@apricitysound.com or the in-app Share Session Log.
5. Privacy
See the Privacy Policy. The short version: Song Pong is local-first; data only leaves your device when you explicitly share or send it.
6. Termination
You can stop using Song Pong any time by deleting it. We may suspend access to share-link servers if a specific account or device is abusing them (spamming the server, hosting illegal content, etc.). Local app functionality is not affected.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Apricity Sound is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Song Pong — including but not limited to lost recordings, lost time, or lost income. Total liability for any direct claim is capped at the amount you paid for the app (which today is zero).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario.
